I began developing Hand in the Dark in 2022 as a response to my decline in mental health and undiagnosed neurodivergence, recognising that so many others echo my story of multiple barriers to creative access. Because of my lived experience, I know how understanding, accommodation and support are vital in contributing to healthy well-being and the motivation to pursue a creative career.
Since graduating with a Theatre & Digital Production degree, I have changed my creative trajectory from festival and event scenic and maker to contribute to reshaping our society through interactive and creative perspective-shifting experiences.
The vision of Hand in the Dark is to create experiences about mental health conditions and neurodivergence and pay people with these lived experiences to create them. Understanding this, collaboration is a cornerstone of my design process, recognising the incredible innovation that emerges when diverse talents unite.
We can choose to reshape this shared reality...
Everyone is invited; everyone is needed.
